I created this blog as part of an evaluation of several possible blogging tools to use for this course. In the end, despite my great love of WordPress (which I use for my personal blog and several other blogging projects), I chose to go with a Blogger blog instead.
I want every student in my class to create their own personal blog, and I ultimately decided that Blogger was just simpler for beginners to work with. I’ll personally stick with WordPress for my stuff, and quite happily so, but if I’m going to teach 30+ newbies how to use these tools I need it to be as simple as possible, and the WordPress admin universe is just a little too feature rich for my purposes.
